I received an awesome isopod package from Resort to Bio from Dyllan Stroede on July 22nd going to try and track their journey here. Got them started in nice little 6qt. Home Made substrate with a lot of wood rot. A cuttlebone and a little scrap piece of cork On one skid I got a nice thing of sphagnum moss for the moisture gradient. I’ll check in with pictures Aug 1st for my weekly bin checks

Bin check Cherry blossoms Update! I didn’t bother them too much as they are still settling, but I still see some moving around. Definitely don’t expect to see any mancae for a while yet. They seem to be doing well here are some photos of the couple I saw climbing around and a picture of their current home. Gave them a little repashy morning wood, A couple nice kudzu leaves. They have a moisture gradient with the sphagnum moss on the left dry side on the right with a lotus isopod hotel pod, and a nice magnolia pod. A piece of cuttlefish bone for them to tend to if they feel up to it. Until next week I’ll tuck them in and let them be.

08/08/26 Cherry blossoms seem to still be doing good! I’m always a b it nervous starting a new colony. Sometimes stress and shipment can cause a die off, but they seem to be settling in thankfully! Still no mancae to be seen but that is to be expected. Added a leaf of kudzu Gave a little spritz for their moisture gradient A little supplement of repashy morning wood powder

8/15/2026 Did not plan to disturb them to much today wanted to leave them be but boom right on top so was able to snap a picture. Gave a quick spritz dropped a kudzu leaf in snapped the picture and locked them back up until next week. Picture didn’t come out as well as I thought it did unfortunately. Their pink is definitely still there camera and lighting definitely didn’t do them justice today.
