Hi everyone! I'm borlen, and I've landed here because I was getting into terrarium making recently, and discovered the plethora of isopods out there. I always thought of them as those tiny black and grey bugs on the ground, but after discovering all the dufferent types, I got sucked into it.
I've only been in the hobby for about 6 months, and I'm currently loving the pineapple spiky species! One day, I would love to upgrade into the cherry blossom/shiny gator isopod species! Here's a photo of my biggest colony right now.

I'm Rose.
I've been keeping a variety of invertebrates for a few years now from neocaridina shrimp to various isopods. I got into them because they are nature's janitors and make perfect clean up crew for aquatic and terrestrial applicantions.
The isopods have been my newest addition. I've had them for CUC in reptile tanks but started exclusively keeping them in their own enclosures and adding to my collection in the past 6 months.
My current favorites in my collection are these porcellio expansus oranges. They have such neat coloring and are quite active. Ember bees would be my current dream isopod to add to my collection.
