Substrate

Deep detritus filled substrate with significant ground coverage (to hold humidity in) is preferred as this is a burrowing species.

Panda Kings are fairly prolific for a Cubaris species. They are shy by nature and will readily conglobate when disturbed. Panda Kings are also largely fossorial, preferring to spend much of their time burrowed within the substrate. This species does not tolerate dry conditions well, making high humidity essential for long term culturing. However, adequate ventilation is equally important to prevent stagnant conditions within the enclosure. While Panda Kings can tolerate temperatures of 80°F, they generally thrive at temperatures between 70–75°F.
